Sima Community Based organization in registered 1994 as non profit making organization based in Kitale-Kenya. Sima CBO is operating in rural areas where the problems started and during clashes time many people lost their life and leave their children alone to suffer. We are operating in Trans-Nzoia district in Kenya with an estimated population of 640,000 have 63% of its inhabitants living below the poverty line.
Aim: Strengthen community capacity for improved quality of life, fight against HIV/AIDS, and poverty As you know we are try to changing the world, It is hard to imagine that children in developing countries suffer from malnutrition, hunger, disease, poor living conditions, and illiteracy but it is true. Children that suffer in poverty find themselves uniquely challenged to discover a way out, often they struggle without strong family support system that most Africa can count on. The most important thing that Sima health care promoters learned is this thing that is still surprising when we tell other people, which is, that as you improve health in a society, population growth goes down.
Sima CBO works to share Jesus and serve people in Trans-Nzoia district –Kitale. The mission’s main objective is for the message of our Lord to be shared with all people. To accomplish this objective, the mission works with the churches of Christ and the communities at large to serve people in health care, feeding the hungry, providing shelter, Providing training or education on child rights, research child rights, works directly with children, caring the children and work in partnership with organizations.
The Watson Foundation has partnered with our organization, which is non-profit making and is supply them with the essential medicines for the children on the communities’ project. Sima CBO is ongoing to train health care promoters in all the villages in conjunction with the community health workers for the communities and we estimated number of children we treat them free is total of 50,157. “As long as there is poverty in the world I can never be totally rich.. As long as, people are afflicted with debilitating diseases I can never be totally healthy… I can never be what I ought to be, until you are what you ought to be. They cannot simply pick up and move out of areas where gang violence, drug and alcohol abuse, prostitution, and malnutrition run rampant. There is little to no opportunity for good education, well-paying jobs, excellent health care, and exposure to the arts.
Poverty is also destroying the lives of children in other countries. Food and clothing are basic to everyone’s existence, yet millions go without. To them the basics of life are luxuries; education and good health are fleeting dreams. These are children who do not know how to dream because their focus is on surviving today.
The population majority is composed of unemployed persons with minimal lands that can’t readily supply enough food to families. This has gone to affect other areas as in education (Children drop out of school seeking casual jobs for basic maintenance) and Health, particularly HIV/AIDS that is spreading rampantly as many young females trade their bodies for handouts in return, other diseases are rampant owing to lack of preventive knowledge, congestion etc.
Without help these children are destined to a life of hardship. This is why our organization is providing at-risk children with critical building blocks that give them the opportunity and tools needed to dream and succeed in life. Join us in changing their world for the better. One In Five Children Live Below The Poverty Line"
Therefore, we would like to request you to come and facilitated and support them.
We are looking forward for your collaboration.
Yours Faithfully,
Johnstone Sikulu Wanjala
