Do you set and achieve goals?
Yes, though they tend to get waylaid as my higher Self sometimes has a different agenda then I do!
Are you a life coach helping other's achieve more?
I'm a licensed therapist, but I don't do private practice anymore. I'm focusing on putting what I've learned into a more accessible and affordable form thru my website for women and all those who want to really get all of the Universal laws and integrate them fully into their lives.

I very much believe that our most important goal is to become empowered and that we can then change the world from our inside out.

Why did you get up this morning?

Why did you get up this morning?

I'd like to be able to hear everyone's answer to that question - really! The reason it is so important is because one of the essential ingredients to a long and happy life is having a purpose to be alive.

This may seem obvious or irrelevant. It is easy to just be so caught up in surviving the day and all its demands that something like a purpose can feel like a luxury. Yet study after study shows when people have a purpose they live better, healthier and happie… Continue

I already know that...

I already know that….

One of my favorite chapters in a book by John Randolph Price is entitled "I already know that." He got that quote from a woman who was asking his advice and after he gave it to her she told him she already knew that. His point of the chapter was if the woman had really known "it" she wouldn't be asking his advice in the first place.

I know I am as guilty of this idea as the next person. In fact, if it wasn't human nature to keep looking for an answer that was easier, soft… Continue

The Giving of Joy

The Giving of Joy

The last few days I've been reviewing various non-profits to decide which ones aligned with my intentions for giving. At the same time someone recommended the movie "Pray the Devil Back to Hell" to me. It is the story of the women of Liberia who after 12 years of civil war said "enough."

These women came together as a nation and prayed peace and love and were instrumental in stopping their countries war. Their mission was to stop the suffering of their children.

A few days l… Continue

Waiting for the Second Ruby Shoe to Drop

Waiting for the Second Ruby Shoe to Drop

One of the hardest things for me to learn to let go of is that feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop. You know that feeling you get when things are going well so life should be right on schedule to blow it all apart? Your rational mind knows that life doesn't work that way, but emotionally you are almost holding your breath in expectation of it?

Now before you launch into the whole Law of Attraction thing, yes I get that, but I want to add some… Continue

What do you Really Want?

If you know about the Law of Attraction or not, the question everyone asks themselves in this life is, what do I want? Time may or may not alter your answers. Some will stay with you a lifetime, others will go by the wayside as your priorities in your life change.

The Law of Attraction has done much more than offer the idea we can have what we want, it's taken off all the limits we have believed in. The possibilities are now endless and instead of creating comfort, this idea has for many just c… Continue

Hello all, ......
Was wandering if you would like to Discus the topic of
"In giving is receiving,"
And its relevance to Spirituality.
May be we could shed more light on details and infoormation.
As a former financial consultant as are many of my
associates CPA's & attorneys doing this.
( Although my license in no longer current )
I have some reason to think I can show and share
with you benefits and good sense in this gifting activity we are involved in .
The FINANCIAL landscape is changing in favor of gifters and charitable activity .
I know you are familiar with this in the art and religious world,
In relation to taxation and other things .
How can funds be raised to do more tangible works in this movement.
How do we empower individuals MATERIALLY AND FINANCIALLY ?

I MUST TELL YOU THIS:
I know something so wonderful.
That I must tell you! It is so vital that it may change your entire future as it did mine. In fact, the decision you make about it will affect you both in life and death.
Let me emphasize that this message is absolutely true, because God said it. When God makes a promise you can rest upon it, because His promises can never fail. God will not make you believe this message, that is your choice, but He will hold you responsible for having heard it.
It is a very personal message, something you must decide. You must say either, “I will” or “I will not.”
Here is the message. It is an exact quotation from God’s word, the holy Bible.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Did you ever hear such wonderful words?
Think for a moment what they say. They reveal three marvelous facts.
First, “God so loved the world”! Since you are in the world, He loved you. If that doesn’t astonish you, remember, that when God loved you, He loved a sinner! The bible says that we all have sinned (Romans 3:23). If you are honest, you will agree.
Although God loves you, He still hates your sin. Since God is holy, He must punish sin. He must make a holy way of saving sinners. Otherwise, the sinner must pay for his sins, and that would mean spending eternity in hell (Revelation 20:15).

The second great fact is, “He gave His only begotten son”! God loved you so much, that He sent His Son to earth to become a man and die on the cross of Calvary, so that you might be saved. You see, someone must pay the penalty of sin, either you or a sinless substitute. God gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to be your sinless substitute. He shed His blood so that your sins might be put away, so that you might have eternal life.
And now the third tremendous fact is, “Whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”! Think of it! God gives eternal life to those who believe in Jesus Christ. The savior has “finished” the work. He has died. He has risen from the grave, and He has gone back into heaven. Now your part is to believe in Him. This simply means that you must agree that you are a sinner, realize that Christ has paid the “full” penalty for your sins, and then receive Him as your Lord and Savior.

This is the message which I had to tell you. Now you must make a decision. Will you accept Him, or reject Him? Will you believe on Him, or refuse Him? Think of it once again.

Unfortunately I have never been able to truly detach from my work. I do not think I could do my job if I didnt care or didnt get attached to my clients, especially when i have watched them grow up for years. In essence I love my clients but hate the work if that makes sense. My hands are so tied sometimes, its very frustrating and I know that I have turned into a completely differenet person since becoming a social worker, and not alway in a better way. I have burnt out and am still recovering but am learning that to get the most from my job, I must be present for my clients and care less about the red tape surrounding them. I am more the creative writing type, poetry, working on a novel right now and have ideas that never seem to get finished.

Thanks
I work with foster children, a sometimes rewarding but frustrating and stressful job. I would love to be in private practice or become a life coach or be able to financially support myself through writing. So i keep asking for the opportunities, hope they come soon.
I can so relate to not wanting to be a social worker- its hard to always have to be faced with the atrocities of life day in and day out, but I do get to I hope impact other people in a positive way.
