Using the Laws of Attraction
Small World
On our drive down to the Scottish Highland Games between Richmond and WIlliamsburg, Va, last Friday we were hungry and I pulled off the highway in Ashland, VA. This was our first time in this town and since I wanted a piece of banana cream pie for dessert I stopped at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery. The very nice lady who took our order asked me how I was doing and we chatted a bit.
She mentioned she had a heart attack last year at age 45 and was now doing those things she had always planned on doing. I asked her what that was and she said she had recently returned from Spain. "Spain? I used to live in Spain 30 years ago." I replied. Well, it turns out that her father is retired from the US Air Force and stayed in Spain because when he married his Spanish wife that was his promise to her.
I said "Wait a minute. I know a couple who did that but his wife also refused to learn English, never have children, never go to America, and never work."
The waitress said, "That is my father!"
I said, "Let's nail this down a little more. My birthday is the first of February and her birthday was around the same time. We had a very expensive combined party for her and me at a 5 fork place across from the Spanish Senate in 1978."
She replied, "Yes, that is her and my father! She was very high maintenance."
I asked her where her father was now living and she said Alicante. I have been there. So I asked her if he took her to Benidorm just 45 minutes up the coast and she ran and got postcards she bought there. We chatted about how beautiful Benidorm is and how wonderful the people of Spain are.
My wife throughout this event just stared in amazement. She said something like, "What are the possibilities of us randomly stopping to eat and you running into the daughter of a guy you knew in Spain 30 years ago? What a small world."
I explained the possibility was 100% because it happened. And she replied that it seemed to happen with a certain frequency to us. I agreed because it does happen all the time to me; someone sitting next to me on the plane, or waiting for our bags, or when we are waiting for a table, or on our way to an event, or at an event, and on and on...
I feel that the Laws of Attraction created this event because the waitress and us needed to meet for a reason. We may not currently know that reason but just need to accept it and let the LOA work with us. Maybe as I spoke to the waitress about goal setting, writing down your dreams, or she to me about Spain was what the Universe was needing accomplished...

I love these stories. The possibility of this happening is beyond mere chance or luck.
There are forces here which lead us to consider choices. But what are the odds of this happening in a tiny Virginia town, because you wanted banana cream pie.
This was no accicdent. Somehow you connected with this person and needed to have that conversation.
I have experienced things like this so many times in my life, I know it is beyond chance.
